July 29, 2001 We all need to work together to save our Liberty State Park from the private developers and to stop the amphitheater that's being proposed for a second time. Why can't they leave our park alone? We do not need the private developers in our park. No other state parks have private developers, so why does Liberty State Park? Every year we cannot even enjoy our summers because we have to fight to save our park from waterparks, golf courses, etc. Look what a mess the Cirque du Sole made of our park and all the traffic jams it caused. Who benefited by Cirque? Not Liberty State Park, not Jersey City residents, but the private developers. Eleanor Traina-Friends Secretary |
