Dear
Valued Supporters of Liberty State Park,
With your interest in and
dedication to The Friends, we have worked to carry out our mission of
“preserving, protecting, conserving and promoting LSP”. With the Friends
turning 20 years old in the Spring of 2008, we aim to strengthen our ability to
carry out our mission and the founders’ vision of a green waterfront
park by raising
significant funds to beautify and improve LSP.
Your
involvement is greatly needed and appreciated to achieve those important goals.
In the Fall of 2007, a new “Business Outreach Committee” worked on the form
letter (now on our website) for your use. We need the help of each and every
park supporter to actively seek the help of companies,
both large and small. We hope that firms
will contribute money, offer employees for volunteer work or join Earth Share of
NJ.
What
we have discovered is that when an employee of a firm personally contacts the
firm he or she works for, the chances that the firm will become a partner with
The Friends increases dramatically. What we are asking is that you (or
a relative or friend) submit the business outreach letter to your firm.
If you have the time to
personalize the letter with your thoughts about Liberty State Park, that would
be helpful, but it’s not necessary.
You can identify the best person
in your company to address this letter to by contacting a representative in
either the Public Affairs, Community Affairs, Public Relations, or Human
Resources department. Many firms have websites where this information can
be obtained.
After
you receive a positive response, please call or e-mail Sam (his contact
information is at the top of this letter) with the contact information for your
company so he can follow up to discuss the options for the firm to benefit LSP.
On behalf of our officers, our members and the
public, we kindly urge you to help The Friends’ business outreach initiative
so that together we can impact LSP’s beautification and improvement. We thank
