Master Gardeners Course at LSP
The Rutger's Cooperative Extension is offering a chance to
become a Certified Master Gardener at Liberty State Park, Jersey City.
This is a great way to learn how to care for plants and trees in your own
garden or neighborhood park.
The Rutgers Master Gardener Course will be open to Hudson County residents -
September
date to be announced at the Liberty
State Park Train Terminal, second floor.
The cost is $225.
Experts from Rutgers faculty, staff and local experts will teach this unique
course, which will include 90 hours of instruction with hands-on
training and field trips. All course materials will be provided. There is a
requirement of 60 hours of volunteer gardening work in order to receive
certification.
Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist Rutgers Cooperative
Research and Extension in its mission to deliver horticultural programs and
information to the general public. This is an ideal way to combine your
interest in gardening and your commitment to community volunteering.
