Friends of Liberty State Park’s First Annual

WALK FOR LIBERTY STATE PARK 2006

Saturday, June 10, 2006 From 9 AM to Noon (rain or shine)

 Location: Liberty State Park immediately off  Exit 14 B of NJ Turnpike, Jersey City, NJ    (For more details, please go to www.folsp.org)


“Tie your laces and beautify the Oasis,” urges Sam Pesin, President of the Friends of LSP.  “The Walk will raise public awareness of this unique New Jersey jewel and its countless attributes.” 

Pesin added, “All money will go toward park improvement like planting trees and flowers, creating picnic pavilions at the park’s South End, and other environmental enhancements.”

The walk is 3 miles on the park’s spectacular “Liberty Walk” alongside the Hudson River.   You’ll pass right by the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and beautiful Park and Harbor views.

Participants may walk all or any part of the 3 miles.


Check in and Starting Place: Liberty State Park, CRRNJ Terminal at end of Zapp Drive at the northeast corner of the park.

 

Music Entertainment and refreshments and exhibits.

Everyone is welcome, whether you walk or not.
