Dear Friends,
Newsletter
Spring 2005
Greetings! We hope you’ve had a healthy winter and that you’ll be getting
to enjoy the park again soon as winter disappears. With no major threat to
this sacred oasis happening now, it’s great to be engaged in planning for
positive activities. Though we’ll continue to be vigilant, it is a deserved
period of peace after years of battles. We’re waiting on US Army Corps for a
public hearing date on Interior nature area.
Please see the pre-registration form at http://www.folsp.org/register.htm
for the Sat. 4/30 Walk For Liberty State Park 2005. This
is the first major fundraising and fun event by Friends and Conservancy that
will lead up to LSP’s 30th
birthday on 6/14/2006.
We hope that you will help our first annual Walk be a success by:
· Filling out the flyer form
and participating in the Walk itself
· Making copies of the flyer
to give to your family and friends.
· Asking your company or
business to please join in co-sponsoring the Walk. You can get a
“Sponsorship Package” and form letter at www.folsp.org
(see “Walk” link) or call LSP at 201-915-3440 if you’d like them mailed to
you.
· If you register with the
flyer form, and get the “pledge” form, we hope you’ll ask your family and
friends and co-workers to support your participation.
Whether you walk or not, we hope you will come out to the Walk to give
support
to the Walkers and enjoy the spirit and festivities of this special day in great
LSP.
