Double Celebration in 2008
The sign ( http://www.folsp.org/historical_sign.htm ) is on Liberty Walk at park's south end, 
near where Morris and the Jersey Journal reporter left the desolate JC waterfront 
for their canoe ride to the Statue of Liberty, paddling into history. June 13, 2008 is the 50th
 anniversary of Morris Pesin's legendary canoe trip that launched Liberty State Park. April, 2008
    is the 20th anniversary of the Friends of LSP.
